Mauricio Ruiz

A former UCF Knight from 2001-02, Mauricio Ruiz rejoined the program as a volunteer assistant coach for 2008. After one season in which he helped the Knights to a semifinals appearance in the Conference USA Tournament, he was promoted to assistant coach in Spring 2009.

He was part of the first conference championship team in 2002, helping the Knights reach the NCAA Division I Tournament for the first time as well. Ruiz played in every game as a freshman and started seven games as a sophomore, recording eight goals and four assists during this two year career at UCF.  Ruiz finished his collegiate career at Stetson, where he played two seasons and won an Atlantic Sun championship with the Hatters.

During the 2007-08 season, Ruiz suited up with the inaugural Orlando Sharks of the Major Indoor Soccer League, playing 27 out of 30 games and recording seven goals and four assists as a rookie.
Ruiz is a 2005 graduate of Stetson University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electronic business technology. Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ruiz moved to the United States in 1996 with his parents and two older sisters.

    Are there any other residential camps for 14+ age groups? I only see the July 11-15 dates.

    I just registered my 2 kids for your residential camp but when I check out the system did not give me the fam discount.

    Hola Mauricio soy alex de Colombia, trabajo en un colegio que en este 2011 asistimos a un campamento de cheerleaders en la UCF. Estando con mis estudiantes alli en el mes de julio pude ver que por esos dias tambien se desarrollaban campx de futbol soccer,, la verdad que estoy muy interesado en asistir en el 2012 a un campamento en la misma fecha con los futbolistas de la escuela donde yo trabajo. Te agradezco toda la informacion sobre el tema que me pudieras enviar.
